a crowd of rebellion

a crowd of rebellion is a five-piece band formed in 2007. The band is characterized by the twin vocals of two males, and a number of listeners have become addicted to their music.

Their most distinctive feature is the twin vocals of Daisaku Miyata and Ryosuke Kobayashi. Kobayashi has a medieval voice and has a lustrous, high-tone voice that is comparable to that of the female vocalists. It’s because of Kobayashi’s neutral voice that the term “a crowd of rebellion women” appears in an internet search. ‘Was there ever a female vocalist?’ So many people are curious and search for it.

In contrast to Kobayashi’s high-tone voice, Miyata’s singing voice is so masculine that you could say it’s the exact opposite. Miyata is a screaming vocalist who sings powerful death voices and shouts and is an essential part of a crowd of rebellion.

a crowd of rebellion was formed in 2007 in Niigata, Japan with Miyata on vocals and Takai on bass. a crowd of rebellion released their first mini-album “Hydrangea” in 2012 on a nationally distributed version, and it was a smash hit, even though it wasn’t a household name at the time. This mini-album sparked their breakthrough as it won the Hokushinetsu Block Award for the 5th CD Shop Awards in 2013.

The band is such a charismatic band, but they also have a mischievous side to them. They call their musical style “Screamo” and Niigata Prefecture, which is famous for its rice, “Koshihikari Mo”.

a crowd of rebellion’s music is based on metalcore, but their melodies are emotional and keep the listener on their toes. If you haven’t heard their music yet, why not start with “Satellitear”? The piano melody is lyrical and moving in places, while the interaction between the two vocals is also impressive.
