MONOEYES is a project started by Takeshi Hosomi of ELLEGARDEN. Initially, it was a solo project for Hosomi, but as the project progressed, it became a band.

There are four members, all of whom are among the top artists in music history. The vocalist/guitarist, Hosomi is of course a member of ELLEGARDEN, and the guitarist, Masafumi Todaka is a member of the band. The guitarist Masafumi Todaka is a highly sought after guitarist who has supported many bands in Japan and abroad.

Bassist Scott Murphy is active in the famous rock band “ALLISTER” and also plays solo. Drummer Masakazu Ichise uses his skills as a drumming instructor and also supports famous artists such as Kaerar Kimura.

In this way, MONOEYES is a group of super talented artists. Their taste in music and performance skills are unmistakable! This is one of those bands that you should definitely listen to.

For example, take a listen to the song “My Instant Song”. This song was the first song released by MONOEYES, and it has nostalgic guitar sounds and simple lyrics. The crystal clear voice will bring tears to your eyes. The title “Instant Song” means an impromptu song, but it’s not a random song. The band sings powerfully, “Improvisation is fine, don’t care about failure,” while retaining its simplicity.

All the members have careers, so their mature music is the charm of MONOEYES. They have a mature sexiness that young and energetic members can’t have.
