椎名林檎[Ringo Sheena]|Ringo Sheena is releasing her long-awaited best album!

Ringo Sheeena

Ringo Sheena is a female singer-songwriter who is no stranger to Japan today; she debuted in 1998 when she was a freshman in high school and has remained at the forefront of the Japanese music scene since then.

Sheena Ringo has been active for more than 20 years, and her long-awaited greatest hits album, Newton no Ringo (Newton’s Apple), was released. The album covers a wide range of Ringo’s classic songs, including “Marunouchi Sadistic,” “Gibbs,” and “Kofukuron (A View of Happiness)”.

Sheena Ringo has released six albums of original songs alone, and there are many more if you include covers and collaborations. So while newcomers to Shiina Ringo didn’t know where to start listening to him, from now on, they should just listen to his best albums first.

“Newton’ no Ringo” includes a new song, as well as “Kousen no Himitsu (Open secret)”, the theme song for the TV drama “Zikou Keisatsu Hazimemashita”. The album is a 2-disc set containing a total of 30 songs from Ringo’s past works, making it an outstanding album that is well worth listening to.

Of particular note is “Roman to Soroban LDN ver.”, her latest track with Hitaru Utada. Sheena Ringo claims that she composed the song to match Utada’s voice, and she is very confident about the quality of the song. The two also perform together in the music video and it’s a gorgeous song.

Sheena Ringo debuted as a solo singer when she was in high school, and her unique view of the world has earned her a large fan base. There was a time when she struggled with the difference in temperature between herself and those around her, as her lyrics were interpreted in ways she didn’t intend, and she received excessive expectations from her record company.

In addition to her solo career, Ringo’s music has also evolved significantly through her work with her band, Tokyo Jihen. Give this best album a listen and you’ll get a sense of the changes in her music.

I have no idea how come it is possible to make this song at age16. She must live her life so many times.

It’s great to feel a little old-fashioned in Tokyo, where smart phones aren’t as prevalent as they used to be.

Sheena Ringo is definitely a genius, no matter what anyone says.

It’s too complete.
I’ve never been so moved by the lyrics.

When I listen to this on my bed at night I can’t stop repeating.

No matter what happens, I end up coming back here.

I guess there are apples that don’t go bad after all these years.

I’m struck by a sensation that I think I heard somewhere in the past.

Debut songs seem to reveal the artist’s origin or essence, which makes me strangely nervous.
The desperation and purity of this song, in which the artist tries to find truth and love in the midst of chaos and instability, is a song that strikes a chord with me.
